Bharatpur – the gateway of the Rajasthan was founded by the Maharaja Suraj badly in 1733 AD. It was once a city well fortified impregnable, carved in the region formerly known under the name mewat. The trio of Bharatpur, Deeg and Dholpur has played an important role in the history of Rajasthan. 1. Fort of Lohagarh

3. Bharatpur National Park

Bharatpur is also famous for the Bharatpur National Park – a place of unique bird, pleasure of ornithologists, where Siberian Cranes rare immigrated during the winter period from as far away as Russia territories. A paradise for the avian world and the pilgrimage for lovers of birds and known as the best station of duck shooting in the British Empire.
