Most of us are interested in health and life insurance, but celebrities have a way of taking things to the next level – and insurance is no exception.
Troy Polamalu
This NFL star rose in popularity thanks to his sterling performance for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He’s also famous, though, for his luscious locks. Troy Polamalu grows his hair, he says, in tribute to his Samoan heritage and hasn’t cut it in over a decade. Polamalu scored an endorsement deal from Procter & Gamble’s Head and Shoulders shampoo, which saw that a $1 million dollar insurance policy was taken out on his hair.
Heidi Klum
Supermodel Heidi Klum’s legs are so important to her career that she insured them for $2 million. It’s reported that each leg is insured separately, and that the left leg is worth slightly less than the right because it has a small scar on it. The insurance was purchased via an endorsement deal by the razor brand, Braun.
Tom Jones
Tom Jones is famous as a flamboyant crooner, known to make women weak at the knees. He’s also famous for his incredibly full chest hair. As you can see in the image above, Jones would take every opportunity available to show offa bit of his chest hair. So attached to his chest hair is Jones that he took out insurance on the curly mass for $7 million. A tidy sum to collect should he ever lose the source of so much success and, apparently, sex appeal.
David Beckham
David Beckham has his legs and feet to thank for his world-famous career as a footballer extraordinaire. His fancy footwork has put him among the ranks of the best players the world has ever seen. So perhaps it’s no wonder that Beckham took out an insurance policy on his legs and feet, worth a staggering total of $70 million. They may not be as pretty as Heidi’s, but they sure are worth more!
Mariah Carey
Mariah definitely takes the cake when it comes to insurance. She beats Beckham and Heidi in the domain of “world’s most expensive legs” too! With an endorsement from Gillette as a brand ambassador and ifficial “Leg Goddess”, Mariah’s legs have been insured for $1 billion. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, it’s a perfectly reasonable choice for Mariah, who is protecting her position as “Leg Goddess”.
