What is All This Revelstoke Hype About?

Revelstoke is a clean, mountainous mecca for keen outdoor enthusiasts. The town smiles its spectacular views of the nearby Glacier National Park, and rests on the border of Mount Revelstoke National Park and Resort. The town rests on the crossing of the Columbia River and is surrounded by the Selkirk and Monashee mountains. From hiking and mountain biking in the warm months to skiing, Heli-skiing, and cat-skiing in the winter- the possibilities are endless.

Revelstoke is a ski and snowboarders dream! Its Mountain Resort is world-class.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort

This Revelstoke Mountain Resort has recently been expanded and has brought people from all over the town; One of the reasons being because it has the longest vertical slope in North America. The ample powder, gorgeous scenery, speedy gondolas, and awesome mountains, are just some of the offerings Revelstoke offers. Also, the Revelstoke mountain vacation rentals rock!

Although Revelstoke is a major winter destination, the town was not always a chic, touristy ski village.  It used to be a railroad town. The Canadian Pacific Railway was the town’s second largest employer.

Downtown Revelstoke

Downtown is full of heritage buildings. You can pick up a Heritage Walking Tour brochure which is available from the Visitor Center. In the summer time expect to find farmers’ markets and live music. The Grizzly Plaza is usually where the music is bumping, and the crowds are gathering.
