If you don’t already know (and I’d be amazed if you don’t), facebook was launched as a social networking site, and the person behind it now has a bank account that’s brimming! This incredibly popular site was born so people could keep in touch with friends and family, wherever they are in the world.
It’s possible to chat, share photos, and even videos. However, there is an application that many people are catching on to, and that’s the facebook calendar app. If, like me, you’re not the most organized person in the world, this application could change your life!
I’m constantly being told off because I forget peoples’ birthdays, or, even worse that I should be at a meeting with a potential new client. The reason for my poor memory is unknown to me (a subject for another day), so when I discovered this application, my life suddenly became way more organized.
There are tons of things you can do with this application, it’s possible to list the events you have on a set day, and it will remind you of what you need to do. You can import the events that your friends and family have on their accounts (no security is breached). You can even add photos to the top of the calendar to give it a more personal touch.
The best thing about this application is you don’t have to pay for it. It’s very easy to download, and there is no heavy duty software associated with it. Once you’ve downloaded the app, it will take you through some on-screen instructions so you can set the calendar up.
To make it even easier, the program will do everything for you. You won’t have to manually go into your account and put various events into the calendar your-self, it will do it for you. Of course, many people worry about the security of their facebook accounts, and these programs have been developed with safety in mind.
The log-in information you use will be stored on your hard-drive, and will not be transmitted anywhere except the facebook website. The program will not be able to make any modifications to your account it will simply read the information it needs to import. All of your information is kept secure, and any website that offers this type of application will protect your details so it can only be seen by you, and your friends and family.
Safety aside, having a facebook calendar app is the best way to make sure you never miss an important event again. You even have the option to print your calendar on to photo paper, and this could make a great gift for friends and family, plus the only cost you will have is the paper, and the ink in your printer, (don’t tell anyone that though)!
People who you give the calendar to will not have to sit down and write all the events they want to know because the information is already there (unless of course, they have some additional event they want to add). There is nothing to lose by having an application like this, in fact there is everything to gain, and the most important thing is it will keep you organized!
