Tips For De-Stressing

De-stressing should be the ultimate priority in today’s fast moving world. If you commit to taking care of your mind and body you can alleviate stress, worry and anxiety.

Use these 4 tips to de-stress.

Move Your Fanny

Exercising is the quickest and easiest way to de-stress. Exercising releases good-feeling endorphins which lift your mood and improve your overall well-being. Run, walk or jog for 40 minutes daily. Exercise for 5 to 6 times weekly to reduce your stress levels. Join a local gym to train with free weights or on machines. If you’re on a tight budget just do pushups and sit ups at home every day. Move your feet to alleviate your anxiety. Exercise regularly to feel better.

Laugh Out Loud

Laughing out loud is one of the best ways to instantly quell your worries. Laughing releases a flood of positive, loving energy from within your being. Learn to laugh at life. Learn to laugh at your stresses. Laughing may seem like an alien activity if it’s been a few days or weeks since you let out a hearty belly chuckle but with practice you can laugh each hour of the day. Change your habits. Don’t go into your work day with a serious mentality. Lighten up! Laugh more to stress less. Laughing improves your heart health, blood flow and it also lowers your tension levels. I bet you that you didn’t know laughing had such powerful physiological properties, did you?

Write like a Champion

The very act of journaling or writing provides you with a cathartic release from the day’s stresses. Stress, worry and anxiety are energies which reside within your mind. Writing out lists or ideas of anything that seems to be the root of your stresses gives a tangible nature to these worries. Journaling literally gets these worries off of your mind and onto the paper or computer screen. Make it a habit to write daily for 30 minutes. Writing in a quiet, peaceful spot can help you de-stress and it can also stoke your creative fires. Allowing your creative juices to flow makes it easier for you to feel whole and fulfilled. Feeling amazing about yourself is a poor environment for stress to take root in.  Find positive solutions to your problems and lift your energy. Keep a daily journal to quell your fears and to lessen your anxieties.

Take Care of A1

Don’t fall into the tempting trap of focusing on others when you’re down in the dumps. Feeling stressed signals that you need to address some problem to grow through. Don’t focus all of your energies on your friends or family when you’re really worried about something because if you don’t address your problems these negative energies will multiply in your life. You can be your best you for others by taking care of yourself first. Work on your mindset. Go into quiet for extended periods each day. Get 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night, eat healthy, get a massage and set aside a good amount of “me” time each day makes your stress levels vanish.
