There is a lot of talk in the body building world about what peptide, hormone, or overall supplement can get the most gains and increase the results of cycling. Among the many chemicals and substances that have been researched as possible new ingredients for use there is CJC-1295 peptide and IGF-1. Though many people are unsure what the differences are between the two, and to answer that you must first understand what IGF-1 does.
An explanation of what role IGF-1 Plays in Building Muscle.
IGF-1 stands for Insulin Growth Factor 1, it is a protein that is encoded by the correspondingly named gene. It is a hormone that contains 70 amino acids and is similar in structure to insulin. In the body its role is to stimulate growth as part of the regulatory cycles that are responsible for cell growth and death. Synthetic reproductions of the hormone can be used in place of or to supplement the naturally occurring Human Growth Hormones produced by the pituitary gland. As part of the aging process the body gradually reduces production of the HGH, the hormone IGF-1 bypasses the regular system and produces the same effects.
How this correlates to body building is that the HGH plays a serious part in building lean muscle mass. In humans we see it spike in levels during puberty where young males and females can begin to shape up into mature specimens. When it is peaked it is also a time known for dropping what is termed ‘baby fat’ of excess accumulations we naturally produce as young. Using IGF-1 can help boost the effects of working out by stimulating the same increased growth potential that is seen during puberty.
What is CJC-1295?
Created by ConjuChem in Canada, it is a 30 amino acid peptide hormone. It is similar to the HGH producing effects of other peptides and has added effects compared to most. The biggest purpose for creating the hormone was to increase protein synthesis to aid in the growth of muscle tissue. Its other benefits, aside from increase in muscle mass, are decreasing fat, boosting the immune system, strengthening bones, and reducing recovery time from muscle injuries. It is also used for getting deeper sleep cycles and other cosmetic uses have been investigated for it as well. Its obvious role in regards to body building is that it not only has the benefit of being long acting, it helps build lean muscle mass and increase strength.
What relation does CJC-1295 have to IGF-1?
Quite simply, CJC-1295, among its many benefits, also acts as a booster to other growth hormones, so when used in conjunction with IGF-1 you can see an increased affect. By themselves they produce results, but combined with synergistic components the results are quite astounding. CJC-1295 is only administered twice a week as it remains in the body and functions in waves of activity over the course of a few days. Adding IGF-1 to the therapy can increase the benefits by seeing continuous results.
