Travel Tips When You Visit Las Vegas

Las Vegas Strip

Everyone knows Las Vegas, a vibrant and exciting city in the deserts of Nevada. Everyone knows about its spectacular full-size replica of the Sphinx at the entrance of the enormous Pyramid in black glass or the Tour Eiffel, Piazza San Marco and the Statue of Liberty. Everyone knows it is the city of fun and entertainment, so we would like to give you a few traveling tips to make the most of your time in Las Vegas.

Poker is of course one of the most popular things in Vegas, and most of the people that visit this city try their luck with cards even if they don’t even know the basic principles of the game. A good tip is entering an online poker room and playing a few hands to practice before entering a real tournament in one of the luxurious and extravagant casinos in town. If you’re not familiar with poker rules don’t worry, there’s always time to learn! There are of different kinds and for every pocket. If you feel intimidated by the high table limits on the Strip, Las Vegas main boulevard, go downtown where table minimums are definitely lower!

With bars and clubs open 24/7 and entertainment available night and day, you definitely need to take a break from the wild life and detox. In Las Vegas there are the greatest luxury hotels and resorts of the world, so you better take advantage of your holiday and of their best world-class spas. Spas in Vegas have all the facilities you can imagine, from steam rooms to saunas and whirlpools and you can also order good food and detoxifying cocktails before heading out to the city and party all night long.

Better save your money for poker tables, slot machines  and shows when you are in Vegas! Choose to book your accommodation off the Strip or downtown where rates for hotel and resorts are usually lower and prices for the airport shuttles are much more affordable, if not completely free. Plan your holiday midweek or during summer where most of the hotels in town offer great deals for tourists.

Taxis are very useful when visiting Las Vegas. The airport is very close to the city centre, so if you do not want to head straight away to your resort or if your accommodation in hotel does not include a free shuttle service, hire a taxi. Vegas is a city full of tourists, so taxi drivers can take the longest route if you don’t instruct them well. So look for the best route on Google maps and ask your driver to take only surface streets, no tunnel or highway.

Remember that Las Vegas is in the desert and the weather can be really hot all year long, but that doesn’t mean that you can always wear tank tops and shorts! Bring a jacket with you to protect your body from winds and lower temperatures during the evening. Also wear comfy shoes if you are planning to walk a lot and make a tour of the city.
