If you want to explore the paths that many soldiers have walked, you can sign up for a Revolutionary or Civil War walking tour. These tours will include visits to the remaining war forts, and your tour guide will also provide you with historical anecdotes about each location that you stop at.<br />
<strong>Ghost Tours</strong><br />
Because Savannah is such as old city, it naturally attracts a lot of people who have an interest in the paranormal. There are several different local groups that offer ghost tours, but one of the most well-known is the paranormal tour of the Sorrel-Weed house. Locals believe that this is the most haunted location in the city, and the house has been featured on the TV shows &#8220;Ghost Hunters&#8221; and &#8220;Most Terrifying Places in America.&#8221; Visitors to the house will have the opportunity to take a 90 minute tour of the mansion and the carriage house. As an added bonus, all of these tours take place after dark.<br />
Another ghost tour, hosted by Ghosts and Gravestones, takes paranormal enthusiasts on a trolley ride to explore several different haunted locations. The Gribble House and the Perkins and Sons building are included in the tour, and your guide will tell you in gruesome detail about the triple murder that took place at the Gribble House in 1909.<br />
<strong>Haunted Accommodations</strong><br />
If you want to take your ghost hunt to another level, you should consider booking a room at one of the city&#8217;s haunted hotels. According to both the staff and previous visitors, it is easy to experience paranormal activity by staying at the 17 Hundred 90 Inn, The Foley House Inn and the Ballastone Inn. Each hotel has its own haunted history, but the physical location of the 17 Hundred 90 Inn makes it the best choice for many travelers. If you prefer less spooky accommodations, choose from one of the more traditional Midtown Savannah hotels.<br />
<strong>The Pirate&#8217;s House</strong><br />
Many locals and visitors flock to the Pirate&#8217;s House restaurant to enjoy a slice of the supernatural along with a delicious meal. In fact, many people claim that the Pirate&#8217;s House is the easiest place to have a paranormal encounter within the city limits. Regardless of whether you meet any ghosts, though, you will have the opportunity to dine in an area where actual pirates used to gather.<br />
<strong>Booking Your Trip</strong> <em>As you can imagine, the ghost tours and other activities do book up fast, especially around Halloween. Therefore, it is important to book your hotel and other paranormal related activities as far in advance as possible.</em><br />
